gait analysis |
About this project:
For this project we measured someone's gait using an accelerometer app and collected data from them walking. After we collected data we uploaded it to google sheets and created models to predict height.

reflection:
Some of the challenges and struggles I faced during this lab was which data to use, how to use it correctly, and how to portray that data onto a model for easier and more user friendly data interpretation. My partner and I worked efficiently on this project and split the work up evenly enough where we both contributed a large portion of the work done. We used teams around and nearby us as tools to see what they had done well and for answering any questions or problems we may have happened upon. We used the app provided (accelerometer) to record the data, and that part was one of the easiest as the data came out well each recording and was easy to interpret. The graphs we created through google sheets were also very helpful in reading and examining our data and choosing parts we wanted to focus on, while pushing irrelevant data out of the picture. One of the hardest parts actually was finding a way to attach the phone to the subjects center of gravity to collect the data. We ended up using copious amounts of tape but we successfully mounted and recorded the data needed. We also imported our data onto a class wide google sheets to compare and contrast data from other groups and to see how they did their organizing and portrayal of the data.
